|Auteur||Sujet: Need program to batch correct incorrect image extensions|

I have to use this particular database program that is a bit annoying. When I choose a subset of the database and export it for delivery, it converts all image extensions from their original extension to. So image1.jpg becomes image1.tif, though it retains the jpg info so it just needs to be renamed with the proper extension. Irfanview will tell me it's a jpeg incorrectly named as a tif and offer to rename it when I load the image, but so far I haven't figured out a batch command that will work. Since the export involves many thousands of images, it's not just a matter of renaming them by hand. Any ideas?
Any help will be apprecited.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
